About Mabry Health Care

Our History

Mabry Health Care & Rehab Center as it is known today is a family owned and operated business. It was established on June 25, 1979 as the Theo Spivey-Jackson County Nursing Home by Thomas J. and Jettie M. Jones Mabry. Originally, it started as a 36 bed intermediate care facility, which quickly grew to 66 beds in 1981. By September of 1989, the facility grew to 107 beds. The latest addition was a 20 bed skilled care unit, completed in May of 1994. Our facility’s name was changed to Mabry Health Care and Rehab Center to compliment the Founders, the Mabry Family.

Administration

Thomas J. Mabry is the Administrator/Owner in charge of day to day management following a tradition of being actively involved in the operation of the facility. Mr. Mabry has more than 40 years knowledge and healthcare experience. He is an honorably discharged veteran of the Air Force. He has strong family and personal ties to the community. His daughter, Carolyn Olson is the CFO/Administrative Assistant. She is involved in overseeing day to day operations.
